The designed by studio Bohlin Cywinski Jackson uses many natural elements which make it a part of the western oaks Douglas fir and the lush green yards that are part of this lovely creek. The 10200 square foot home seems to use mostly wood to ensure that the aesthetics of the interiors remain modern and yet ‘natural’ at the same time.
The entire living space here is designed to emphasize on the ‘openness’ of the penthouse and the lavish use of floor-to-ceiling glass windows ensures that you have a panoramic view of the sea no matter where you turn. While on one side the penthouse offers some beautiful views of the blue on the other you can take a look at the city lovely city skyline even if it pales in comparison.
The idea here is to try and incorporate traditional Japanese architecture and natural lighting principles along with modern minimalism to create a truly one-of-a-kind structure. And we can confidently say that Antonino Cardillo has succeeded at that.
