We’ve compiled a collection of our favorite tiny houses complete with breathtaking photos. From a billboard-inspired home to a mineral-shaped downtown dwelling these houses are amazingly innovative not to mention cozy. Yet somehow impeccable design keeps them from seeming claustrophobic!

But architect Antonino Cardillo has gone in a completely different direction by creating a home in Hyōgo overlooking Ōsaka bay Japan that takes the shape of an irregular polygon. While we are not sure if it was space constraints that led to the design or just the zest to try out a new form factor the end result seems pretty cool indeed.

Modern architecture is all about sleek and well-defined lines that produce flowing interiors which are easy on the eye. While many of the beach houses are going for that ultra-transparent look which tends to use glass extensively Lima-based design studio Javier Artadi Arquitectos have gone for a more balanced and ‘boxed’ approach.

Modern houses are becoming more and more innovative and bold when it comes to experimenting with various styles patterns and designs. The idea is to try and create a home that gives the owner exactly what he is looking for while it also stands out from the pack and showcases the skill and ingenuity of those who have designed it.

Different textures and elements were added to this with a koi pond on the north side along with some green around it. A small waterfall at the entrance welcomes you with elegance while a flowing sheet of water at the back separates the private pool area from the rest of the home.

The eco-PERCH is stunning on the ground or it can be raised so it rests in the treetops as shown below. Features like internal softwood floors low voltage LED lighting double-glazed windows and a flat-screen TV give this lodge modern flair. Plus you’ve gotta love that outdoor deck!

Your deck can extend in layers out further and further into your back yard or wrap around the side of your home for additional space. For example your deck could include a shaded space for reclining with a good book or outdoor countertops around the grill to assist with your cooking needs. No matter what you deck should be a place that’s designed just for you.
