Nestled on the perimeter of the Silver lake reservoirs in LA California the Redesdale Residence definitely proves our point — it’s been conceived by the architects at Space International offers some amazing views and stuns with its great outdoors.

Nestled among the rain forest located in Mt Whitfield in Cairns this lovely home uses glass extensively and sports walls that are made entirely out of glass alone. This offers a wonderful vantage point that blends in with the surroundings and seems like a natural extension of the rainforest.

Modern architecture is all about sleek and well-defined lines that produce flowing interiors which are easy on the eye. While many of the beach houses are going for that ultra-transparent look which tends to use glass extensively Lima-based design studio Javier Artadi Arquitectos have gone for a more balanced and ‘boxed’ approach.

Elevated using steel poles and sporting an ‘all wood’ floor the HP Tree House ensures that you wake up the lovely sights and sounds of life on rainforest canopy… Something that is both rare and hard to replicate elsewhere.

The designed by studio Bohlin Cywinski Jackson uses many natural elements which make it a part of the western oaks Douglas fir and the lush green yards that are part of this lovely creek. The 10200 square foot home seems to use mostly wood to ensure that the aesthetics of the interiors remain modern and yet ‘natural’ at the same time.

Even the floor-to-ceiling glass windows are encapsulated in gorgeous wooden frames and while the home’s interiors exude all the traits of a contemporary home the extravagant use of wood does give it a very refined look. With an interior that even sports a ‘Zen garden’ this is indeed about bringing a touch of Asia into California!
